C++ Components

Choose a sample component from this list. All Microsoft® Visual C++® version 5.0 project and source files are available in the directory indicated for each sample.

Simple C++ Component: This sample illustrates the basics of component creation and use.
Intermediate C++ Component: This example demonstrates how to create and use a component that performs more involved tasks, such as accessing an ASP built-in object.

Note In order to compile these samples, you must copy the updated IIS 4.0 header files from the \Program Files\MTS\Include and ...\iissamples\sdk\include subdirectories into your development software's include directory. You must also copy the library files from \Program Files\MTS\Lib to your development software's library directory. The MTS headers and libraries are only installed with IIS if the Transaction Server Development subcomponent of MTS is selected when IIS is installed.

It is assumed that you have installed, and are familiar with, the Microsoft ActiveX Template Library (ATL), which is included with Visual C++.
