Brazilsky kongres nyni hlasuje o projektu, ktery ma zmensit plochu amazonskeho pralesa o 50 %. Plocha, ktera se ma vymytit, je ctyrikrat vetsi nez Portugalsko a ma se pouzit hlavne pro zemedelstvi a pastviny. Veskere drevo se ma prodat na mezinarodnich trzich ve forme reziva prostrednictvim multinarodnich spolecnosti...
Skutecnost je takova, ze puda amazonskych pralesu je bez pralesa samotneho k nicemu. Je velmi kysela a dana oblast je vystavena castym zaplavam. V soucasne dobe je vymyceno vice nez 160.000 km2 za stejnym ucelem, puda je opoustena a postupnou erozi se z ni stava poust. (Zmensovani pralesu ma navic katastroficke dopady na mistni i celosvetove klimaticke podminky). Nepripustme, aby tento proces pokracoval.
