The following few pages will consist of a brief slideshow and explanations on how the networking capabilities of OS/2 Warp 4 can be useful to you at home. It will also shows what else is available for serious business environment.

Here we have a display of various features included in the OS/2 Warp Networking setup. To the right, the Online Installation help gives a brief description of the various services. One can also choose an advanced or easy install for the setup of these services. The File and Print client offers peer services to other OS/2 Warp Workstations, as well as Windows 3.11, Windows 95, and Windows NT and DOS LAN clients and servers. TCP/IP services allow TCP/IP communication across the LAN and Internet which lets you choose from a variety of setup possibilites such as dial-up PPP using the modem. The online help explains the rest of these services in sufficient detail.

My network consists of OS/2 Warp 4 networked to a Windows 95 machine. My machine acts as a server since it provides Internet connectivity to the Windows 95 machine via TCP/IP, sharing of my HP LaserJet 5L, and files. Resources are visable graphically through both machines and through the command line if the drives are mapped. Now that I've gave a brief description of the machines involved let's see it! Note that the icons and and text styles used are not the originals... It will also prove the customization possibilities of OS/2 Warp 4.
