Welcome to the IMS Web Engine Introductory tutorial

This tutorial will automatically load the first time you play the program. You can play it again by selecting the "Introductry Project" button in the 'File' menu.

Click on the green Preview Project button ">>" above the red arrow to view this tutorial in your default browser. The "Tutorials" button can then be used to load a page of links to several tutorials to help get you started with IMS Web Engine. You can also select the Tutorial button in the Help menu at any time to access these totorials. We have included several template ".ims" projects. From the File Menu, select 'Open Templates' and select an ".ims" file.

You will find links to the Virtual Mechanics site under the
Help Menu . These include our on-line tutorials, our on-line store, our purchase page and our Home page. When you purchase IMS Web Engine, we will make our "ims" template store available free of charge. You can quickly create and post your own store with authorized links to Amazon.com and Beyond.com or modify these templates to specialize in your own field of expertise.

Click on the bird to start it animating when you are viewing this in a DHTML browser.

To publish any project including this tutorial select the Export HTML button located in the File Menu and on the File Bar.



To return to IMS Web Engine click the Close Window button [X] on the browser.

First things First

-Use your mouse to select, move and scale any object in the work window.
-Use the "
PUB. HTML " on the file bar or the "File -Export" command to save a project as a HTML file.
-The text editor can also be used to import HTML and Text files.
-Projects should be saved and loaded as ".ims" files.
-An Exported HTML page will be given the name of the page in the project. This page is called "Introduct" and will be called "Introduct.htm" when Exported.
