Tech Tour 99Tech Tour 99
Tech Tour user group events  are free, open to the public, and do not require registration. Please plan to arrive early as seating is limited. In addition, Microsoft will be mailing a beta 3 copy of Windows 2000 to each of the first 100 attendees at each event!

The MSDN User Group program provides specific information and support to the developer-centric user groups and special interest groups. We support more than 500 developer user groups around the globe. These groups are especially interested in Visual Tools products such as Visual Basic®, Visual C++®, Visual FoxPro™, Office97 Developer Edition, Microsoft Access, and Internet technologies such as ActiveX®.

No matter how much or how little you know about computers, a user group can help you get more out of Microsoft software. Computer user groups can take any form from an informal group of 10 individuals meeting over a laptop and take-out food to a nonprofit corporation with a membership the size of a small town, a board of directors, and a telephone directory-sized newsletter. User groups serve communities, educational institutions, corporations, professions, or associations. Whatever their size or form, user groups share in common the commitment to providing a platform for sharing experience, insight, and knowledge about computing, for the personal and professional enrichment of their members.

How do I join a user group?

There is a computer user group near you. Check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/community/usergroup/search.asp . You can search by product family, geographic region, or specific user group name.

For information on joining or starting a Developer Network user group, e-mail devug@microsoft.com.
