You can now create self-extracting archives with the Zip Manager

Fixed the shell32 problem for NT user's, NT users can now revert back to the original
shell32.dll in ther system directory.

4th Jan, 98 - Ver 2.1

Changed the "Run programs from here" function to a combo box, FmEdit95 now keep's a history
of files that have been run.

Added a files association manager, there is no help for this at the moment, but there are
plenty of hint's within FmEdit95.

You can now send e:mail from within FmEdit95, stores up to 20 e:mail id's. (Tools Menu)

Made associated files user definable.

Took out drive A: from the file finder.

29th Dec, 97 - Ver 2.0a

FmEdit95 interrogtates all drive's at startup, this only add's a few second's to the
loading time, but save's a good bit of time with other functions.

Added a powerful File Finder function, see help file for full details.

Added an option to run associated files for (.xls.xlb.wks.wk1.wk2.wk3.wk4.doc.rtf.sam)

Added a calendar which displays week numbers.

Added an option to hide/show the Win95 task bar

Added a URL in the about box for a direct link to the FmEdit95 web page

Made the modified column sizable when in file detail mode

12th Dec, 97 - Ver 2.0

Completely revamped the interface.

Current selected filename is now shown on the caption bar, each display screen show's the
filename that is currently loaded.

Each screen has an option to close the current file loaded, again EXCEPT the images as I still
do not know how to do it or I am going about it the wrong way. HELP ANYBODY?

You can now load a program into the editor on start up, eg. fmedit95 c:\thisdir\myfile.txt

Brought the zip manager to the front end.

Sizable columns when in file detail mode. (Name and Size only in this version)

Files can be sorted in file detail mode by clicking on the column you want sorted

Added toggle for Full Screen / Normal Screen - F5 / F6

Added a full window view for some images when you double click on the image

Single clicking a filename now views the contents, excluded some files from being viewed, *.exe,
*.dll, *.drv etc.

Improved file mask function, the mask stay's no matter what directory you are in.

Added a manipulate files option.

Added a few more splitter bars.

Added movable toolbars.

Double clicking an *.exe or *.hlp extension will load the file.

Added an option to print html documents.

You can now view animated gif files.

Took out some options, the most notable are viewing a text file from within a zip file, this
caused a problem when extracting files from within a zip. (will try and reinstate) and the
show only directories. (use file mask for faster browsing)

There is a lot more behind the scene changes.

22nd Nov, 97 - Ver 1.0d
Fixed a minor bug in Zip Manager, when you double clicked on a file name to view the contents
of a file, if the file was read only, FmEdit95 could not delete the file after it was viewed.
The files attributes are now checked before viewing.

Added a 'Show Only Directories' option for faster navigation. Use this if you know what
sub-directory you are going to, it really speeds up the process as no file information is
being gathered as you browse. This can only be set at run time, no settings will be saved for
this option.

Added a splitter bar to make the main windows resizable, double clicking on a window no longer
makes the screen full size.

Fixed a minor bug, when copying multiple files, if you tried to copy to an existing directory
you received the message "Cannot Create Directory" This was because it was trying to recreate
an existing directory. You can now copy multiple files to an existing directory.

Enabled the file properties function to allow the user to change file attributes.

16th Nov, 97 - Ver 1.0c
Cleaned the code up some, but still a lot of cleaning up to be done.

Viewer's now display their own filenames, you can now close open files with the exception of
the image viewer. (still working on how to do this without causing errors)

Added an options screen to save user's settings. (still working on this)

Added Database Viewer for dbf and db files.

14th Nov, 97 - Ver 1.0b
Changed the viewing layout, instead of one window controlling all display's, I added tabbed
notebook's for greater flexibility.

Added MultiMedia option to play, avi, midi and wave files.

8th Nov, 97 - Ver 1.0a
Added a function to view the contents of a file within a zip by double clicking on a filename.
(At the moment this is for text based files only, other files will display only a few letters)

Added an option to set a file mask, this only occur's in the current directory, when you
change directory or drive, the mask is set back to *.*

Tweaked the interface slightly

You can now view HTML with the file extension .html
