Stage 1: Gather information
In the first stage of the wizard, you will be prompted for the following:
- Your 10-digit customization code. This code was included with
other kit information you received from Microsoft.
- Your
country code and country ID. For a list of countries and
their codes and IDs, click country codes
- Your role — Content Provider or Developer, Service Provider, or Corporate Administrator — based on your license agreement.
- The language of the browser package you are creating. You will need to run the IEAK wizard for each international version you want to create.
- The method of distribution you plan to use: CD-ROM, or Floppy disk/downloadable. When using a download location, you can distribute the installation engine file on disk or through another method, or include it with your downloadable files. When creating a package for disk, you need to place only the installation engine file on the disk; the rest of the files can by downloaded dynamically. For the download location, you can specify an HTTP server or an FTP server.
- The destination for creating your browser package, if you choose the Floppy disk/downloadable option. If you are creating the package on your hard disk or network drive, the destination should be \CIE\DIST. If you are creating the package on your Web server, the destination should be the path to your server, such as c:\inetpub\wwwroot\cie\.
