Ok. This is my third skin. This one took me tons of time and dedication... Anyway I think it kinda turned out the way I wanted, so I'm very pleased with the results. As you should notice, the skin is basically handmade (initially, a pencil and an eraser where the only tools to create it) . I wanted to make a handmade skin, with some drawings and a little "decoration" on it... With that in mind I made a sketch and when it was finished I put it in my notebook's plastic pocket and saw how nicely the plastic texture "covered" the sketch. Then I proceeded to scan the sketch and as I had thought, the sketch alone wouldn't be enough to make the skin I wanted, so I decided to apply a plastic texture (like the pocket's texture) to the whole thing (with different color variations) and eventually this is how it turned out. Apart from this plastic textures, the animation effects on buttons and some other slight details, everything in this skin is handmade; even the text, as in the numbers and the titlebars of the playlist and video windows, is handwritten (it's actually my handwriting). I just hope someone else will find something of value among these pencil lines and eraser trails. Using the Skin: The buttons in the skin are rather easy to find and use, but some of them are not that obvious. For example, the mono/stereo buttons seem to be "hidden"; actually, the mono/stereo indicators are the elf's earrings: if she is wearing both earrings then winamp is playing stereo, but if she is wearing only the left earing then it's playing mono. The two green leaves near the elf are the equalizer and playlist buttons, and a third leaf below them is the About Winamp button. The reddest petals of the rose are the on/off and auto/manual options for the equalizer; when there are raindrops on the petals, the buttons are at the on and auto states respectively. And the last hidden button is the Presets button, which is at a "ring" on the elf's arm. You can easily identify these buttons because they are all notably coloured. I've included the font EraserDust (used in the playlist) into this .wsz file. any comment, question or thought is welcome. - che. it_mooned@yahoo.com ICQ# 166034050 * I started to make skins for the sole purpose of having fun and to give some meaning to the endless hours of spare time I have right now. As they seem to take a lot of that time, I have just made a few, but I've put into each one of them a lot of effort and meaning. So, if you wish to check out my skins, you can do it by searching for my user name: ana thema, at winamp.com. *
