This small and quick tutorial will guide you through the basic steps needed to learn how to backup/restore your registry.
1. Launch Registry Toolkit and click on the < Start Registry Backup > link in the left bottom part of the window. To do this you should first click on the corresponding item in the right part of the window.
2. Choose "Registry Backup"
from the drop-down list. Press OK.
3. Select folder where you want
your backup files to be saved.
4. Check needed hives and
press "Go!". Selected hives will be saved to disk.
5. Now when you want to restore
registry simply start up Registry Backup again. Select the hives you want to be restored, specify your backup path
(the folder you've chosen in step No. 3) and press "Go!".
Restart the machine.
