Headers Download Window

This window downloads headers from one or several newsgroups.

Using one or several connections, this window downloads headers from newsgroups and saves them to your hard drive.

Hint: No direct interaction is possible in this window. If you want to change the number of connections used for downloading or set a match string, you should do that in the Newsgroups window.

Hint: The window displays the number of ôKilledö headers. To learn more about the kill-file support, please refer to the Kill-file section.

Hint: Aborting a download will not discard the headers that have been downloaded. However the ôlast visitö pointer for the group will not be updated.

Hint: The ôMatch string definedö message may appear at the bottom of the window. This is useful in case you have defined a match string for a prior download but forgot to clear the string (see the Newsgroups window).

Hint: If you plan to download a lot of headers, make sure you have enough space on the drive %title% is installed. Downloading 10.000 headers takes approximately 2.1 MB disk space.

Important: When you are downloading headers from multiple connections the headers will be merged into a single file for use in the headers window. The time and disk space required depends on the speed of your hard drive and the total amount of headers you downloaded.
