Connections and Download Limits

%title% provides you with advanced features for proper management of connections and download limits of your Usenet servers.

Connections

For optimal use of your Internet connectionÆs bandwidth, %title% can perform most functions using multiple connections.

Most Usenet providers allow you to establish more than one concurrent connection to their servers, thus maximizing the transfer speed.

If you are not certain how many connections can be established simultaneously, contact your Usenet provider.

Download Limits

Depending on which Usenet package you signed for, there may be a limit to how much you can download each day, week or month. Or you may be paying per bytes downloaded.

Whatever the type of account you have, %title% can properly manage both limited and unlimited connections by first trying to retrieve messages from unlimited servers and if unavailable, then try the servers with download limits.

You can specify the type of servers you use by checking the ôNews server has download limitö checkbox in the setup wizard or the option window.

Note: This only applies if you have access to several different servers. If you just subscribe or use a single Usenet provider, you do not need to specify the type of servers.
