Toolbar Buttons/Icons

RIGHT-CLICK OPTIONS:

When you right-click in the unused area of the toolbar you can either hide it by clicking on Toolbar or Customize it. When you choose to customize it, you can change the order of the buttons or take buttons out of the toolbar. If you want to get the default toolbar back, just click the RESET button.

BUTTON DESCRIPTIONS:

*Server ON/OFF* -- You can turn your server
ON and OFF with this button.

- When you select OFF you will get a message box.

Selecting the ON button will turn the server back on.

*Add GROUP* -- You can add a GROUP to
the SYSTEM with this button.

- Before you can click this button, you must have
the SYSTEM icon
selected in the left window.
Clicking this button will prompt you for a GROUP name.

*Add USER* -- You can add a USER to a
GROUP with this button.

- Before you can click this button, you must have
a GROUP icon
selected in the left window.
Clicking this button will prompt you for a
USER name and password.
*NOTE* If you do not type anything in for a password,
that user will be able to log in with or without entering a
password. (anonymous-like)

*Add PATH* -- You can add a PATH to the
SYSTEM / GROUP / USER with this button.

- When you select OFF you will get a message box.

Selecting the ON button will turn the server back on.

*Edit GROUP* -- You can edit a GROUP
with this button.

- When you select a GROUP in the left window and
click this button, you have the ability to rename a GROUP.

*Edit USER* -- You can edit a USER
with this button.
- When you select a USER in the left window and
click this button, you have the ability to rename a USER
or change the USER's password.

*Edit PATH* -- You can edit a PATH
with this button.

- When you select a PATH (with a
yellow-wheel )
in the lower right window and click this button,
you have the ability to rename the VIRTUAL name,
browse to a different LOCAL directory/drive, or
change the ATTRIBUTES of the PATH.

*Delete GROUP* -- You can edit a GROUP
with this button.

- When you select a GROUP in the left window and
click this button, you have the ability to delete a GROUP.
You will be prompted to confirm the delete.
*NOTE* This will delete all USERS in that GROUP as well.

*Delete USER* -- You can edit a USER
with this button.

- When you select a USER in the left window and
click this button, you have the ability to delete the USER.
You will be prompted to confirm the delete.

*Delete PATH* -- You can edit a PATH
with this button.

- When you select a PATH (with a
yellow-wheel )
in the lower right window and click this button,
you have the ability to DELETE the PATH.
You will be prompted to confirm the delete.

*Event Manager* -- You can open the Event Manager
with this button.

Same as selecting Event Manager from the Admin menu.
Allows you to change the events that occur when certain conditions
are met on the server (like when a user logs in/out or uploads/downloads files)

*Server Messages* -- You can open the Server Messages
with this button.

Same as selecting Server Messages from the Admin menu.
Allows you to set messages that the user sees on his/her FTP client when
performing tasks like logging in, uploading files or download files. There
are variables you can use the allow the messages to be customized based
on each user and the task they are performing.

*Server Options* -- You can open the Server Options
with this button.

Same as selecting Options from the Admin menu.
Allows you to change settings like:
 -- server name
 -- autoban options
 -- mIRC DDE options
 -- passive connection settings
 -- how deleted files are handled

*Tip of the Day* -- You can open the Tip of the Day
with this button.

Allows you to view the Tip of the Day. Also allows you
 to turn the tips on or off at startup.

*Help* -- You can open the Help file
with this button.

Opens the current help file that has been distributed with
 GuildFTPD.

*BAN LIST* -- You can open the Ban List with this button.

Opens the server ban list.

*Exit GuildFTPd* -- You can exit the program
with this button.

Same as Clicking the X or selecting the File menu and clicking Exit..

*Kick User* -- You can kick a connected user
with this button.

You must select an actively connected user before you can click this button.

*Restart Server* -- You can restart the server
with this button.

Same as selecting the Admin menu and clicking Restart Server.
Restarting the server is most commonly necessary after server option changes.

*Send to SYSTRAY* -- You can minimize GuildFTPd to the SYSTRAY
with this button.

Same pressing the ESC key.

*IP MASK* -- You can open the IP Mask list
with this button.

The IP Mask list is a list of IP addresses or range of IP addresses
 that you can specifically allow or deny from connecting to your server.

*View SYSLOG.TXT* -- You can open the syslog.txt file within notepad
with this button.

This button allows faster access to the syslog.txt, which can be used for troubleshooting.
