Image Quality
Use the Image Quality feature to adjust the output image quality to your TV.
What do you want to do?
Adjust the amount of contrast
- Expand TV Properties in Advanced View.
- Click and drag the Contrast slider to the desired position.
Note: Reduced contrast makes text and graphics less vivid but should also reduce the amount of flicker.
Adjust Saturation
- Expand TV Properties in Advanced View.
- Click and drag the Saturation slider to the desired position.
Note: Adjusting saturation affects the amount of color used in images. Less saturation means there is less color and more white pigmentation displayed.
Adjust Flicker removal
- Expand TV Properties in Advanced View.
- Click and drag the Flicker removal slider to the desired position.
Note: The Flicker removal slider adjusts the amount of luma, or black and white, flicker present in the TV output. The maximum setting is recommended.
Set Composite Sharpness
- Expand TV Properties in Advanced View.
- Select the desired setting from the Composite sharpness drop down menu.
Note: Composite sharpness is not available if you are using a S-Video connection to your TV.
Set S-Video sharpness
- Expand TV Properties in Advanced View.
- Select the desired setting from the S-Video sharpness drop-down menu.
Apply your settings
- Click Apply to save your changes and leave the Catalyst™ Control Center open.
- Click OK to save your changes and exit the Catalyst™ Control Center.
Restore default settings
- Move the mouse to the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
- Click Defaults.
Note: Clicking Defaults will restore the defaults for the current view only. Previous settings are not altered and will be saved once you click OK.
Discard your settings
- Click Discard to ignore any unsaved changes and restore the settings that existed when the Catalyst™ Control Center was opened or the last time Apply was used. Discard does not close the Catalyst™ Control Center.
Clicking Discard applies to all features of an aspect, not just the feature in the current view.
