Advanced
Use Advanced to add customize display modes for your HDTV set based on 720p or 1080i format timings. Customized formats must be based on the width, height and refresh rate of one of these standard timings.
What do you want to do?
Create a customized timing
- Expand Component Video in Advanced View.
- Click Advanced.
- Select 720p or 1080i and click Apply Format.
- Click Add. Four arrow buttons and a rectangle appear.
- Create a custom mode by clicking and dragging any of the four arrows to adjust the rectangle's width and height until the background is just visible.
- Click Accept.
- Click OK in the warning message box
Remove customized timing settings
- Expand Component Video in Advanced View.
- Click Advanced.
- Click to highlight the customized settings you wish to remove from the Customized Timings window.
- Click Remove button.
Apply your settings
- Click Apply to save your changes and leave the Catalyst™ Control Center open.
- Click OK to save your changes and exit the Catalyst™ Control Center.
Discard your settings
- Click Discard to ignore any unsaved changes and restore the settings that existed when the Catalyst™ Control Center was opened or the last time Apply was used. Discard does not close the Catalyst™ Control Center.
Clicking Discard applies to all features of an aspect, not just the feature in the current view.
Restore default settings
- Move the mouse to the bottom right-hand corner of the window.
- Click Defaults.
Note: Clicking Defaults will restore the defaults for the current view only. Previous settings are not altered and will be saved once you click OK.
