Display option in the Option Menu

Filtering: enable or disable bilinear filtering. (for Direct3D version only)
Dithering
enable or disable dithering (for Direct3D version only).
Entity energy : this option display the percentage of the targeted entity during fights.
Slow message speed : Change the scrolling speed of the Organisation's messages.

In the Memory menus::

Dials.: Display all the dialogues of the people encountered during the mission. You can change the current character with the down arrow key.
Objects:  Tell you where you get or drop any objects.
Energy: Display energie earned and lost..

Touches spΘciales

Backspace during the game speed up scrolling and game..
In the Audio and Display menus, the + and - of the numpad change the values

Game tips

    We suggest you to use theses following spells:

DRAIN (Warrior) Give you energy after an certain time from a place. You use this energy when buying or using any spell.

HEAL(Warrior): Healing spell. When you are seriously hit. Of course, if you die if you health level is become zero

BLAST POSITIVE (Warrior): For destroying an spectral entity, you have to use this spell.This spell has several level more or less efficient . Some entity are more sensible with a certain level than with an other.

Don't forget to take weapons available in the Tenebrans. They can help you to destroy some entity with no cost of energy.

Direct X 6.1 Installation

The Guardian of Darkness requires Direct 6.0 or later. A version is available on the CD-ROM, in the folder 'DirectX'. Else, you won't be able to run the game.
You can also upload the lastest version on the Microsoft Web Site

3D accelerators and audio boards.

The Guardian of Darkness works on most 3D accelerators compatibles. If you have no 3D accelerators, please choose the software renderer instead. Older 3D accelerators which don't support texture mapping are not supported.

On some sound boards, like the Sound Blaster AWE64 the Hardware Acceleration is NOT recommanded, and can decrease game performances..

Moreover, the DirectSound 3D is optimized for 3D sound card like Sound Blaster Live!. On standard sound cards, it is recommanded to no enable this option, which can also reduce game performances.
