Viewing Windows Updates Status (Windows XP only)

See the status of your computer's Windows Automatic Updates:

• A green dot indicates that Windows Updates is enabled to automatically download and install updates as scheduled on your computer (recommended).

  The default schedule is every day at 3:00 AM when you are connected to the Internet.

• A yellow dot indicates that Windows Updates is enabled but not set to the recommended option.

  To enable the recommended option, click Enable.

• A red dot indicates that Windows Updates is disabled.

  To enable the recommended option, click Enable.
