Welcome to McAfee® SecurityCenter™.

The McAfee SecurityCenter is an easy-to-use environment where McAfee Security subscribers can launch, manage, and configure their security subscriptions.

The SecurityCenter also acts as a source of information for virus alerts, product information, support, subscription information, and one-click access to tools and news hosted at the McAfee Web site.

This version of SecurityCenter provides the following new features and benefits:

• My Security Index - Summarizes your computer's security vulnerability as measured by the free My Security Index service
• (Enhanced) Windows XP SP2 interaction - Identifies Windows® Firewall as active in the AntiHacker Index of My Security Index
• (New) Windows Updates detection and enabling - Identifies the current state of Windows Updates and lets you enable Windows-recommended default settings from within SecurityCenter
• A set of free, must-have security services - Includes a free set of Web-based security services including the World Virus Map, the Virus Information Library, and the Hacker Vulnerability Scanner
• Real-time security alerting - Notifies you about emergency virus outbreaks and security threats, and provides response options to remove, neutralize, or learn more about the threat
• Management of McAfee services - Allows current McAfee subscribers to manage and configure multiple security services through a single user interface
