Creating
a Photo Gallery
Photo
Gallery is a breeze to use when creating your own customized
gallery pages to display your pics.
This
tutorial will show you how to create a photo gallery
Step
1 - Log-in
To start, go to the xaraonline homepage and login into
your account.
You'll
be taken to the welcome page of your account. To create
a gallery, or to create any other module for that matter,
you need to click on Enter Module Store
Step
2 - Create a new photo gallery
Once in your module store, simply select Applications,
Photo Gallery, Create
The
application will be created and your gallery admin page
will open. Here, you can upload images (click Browse
and then select your photo from your computer), give
the photo a name, name the gallery if you plan to have
more than one, and add a caption to the photo. Once
you have selected your photo and entered the desired
details, simply click Upload Photo to add the
photo to your gallery.

Continue
the same process to add all of your photos.
Step
3 - Adding the gallery to your website
There are two ways of incorporating your gallery into
your website. The simple way is to add a link from your
site to your gallery main page on the Xaraonline site.
This is straight forward and just like adding a link
to any web site.
To
find your HTML link, simply go to your module store,
and click on Gallery.htm. Your gallery will load
and all you need to do is to copy the URL and link to
it from your website.

The
second involves copying the snippet of script you are
given at the end of creating a photo gallery. After
you have added all of your photos to your gallery, the
final screen presents you with a snippet of code. For
example, for the gallery created in this tutorial, the
snippet is:
<script src="http://www.xaraonline.com/zym7/AD822EE0AE57FCC6.js"></script>
To add this to my website, I simply take this snippet
and paste it into my page. As you can see below, the
gallery is now incorporated "live" in my site.
Your Gallery Store is where you
go if you ever need to update your photos, change any
details, or add another module. You can access it by
either going to www.xaraonline.com, or simply clicking
on the Admin link at the bottom of your photo
gallery.
