Buying a Hard disk drive.....

It should have a capacity of 500Mb or greater (Preferably 800MB or 1 Gb).

Check that the hard disk controller is Enhanced IDE.

A Scsi (pronounced 'scuzzy') hard disk is even better, but costs more.

Choose a reputable make of drive
