Checking and Adjusting the Effects in Use

When you open the Information palette and select an clip, the properties of the clip and a list of the effects which have been applied to it are displayed.
You can use the Information palette to turn filters on and off, delete unused effects from the list, and set filter properties.

To open the Information palette

  1. Click the Palette button in the Timeline window to display the list.

  2. Click Information Palette, checking it.
    You can also click Show All Palettes to display all of the palettes.



    The currently selected effect in the effect list is displayed.

To close the Information palette

Click the Close button.
You can also click Hide All Palettes to close all of the palettes.

To turn filters on and off (for video/audio filters)

You can temporarily disable video and audio filters.
To disable a filter, remove the check in front of the filter name. To re-enable the filter, click the check button to check it. You can also enable and disable filters by selecting them and pressing the space bar.

To delete an effect from the list

Select the filter to delete and do one of the following.

To set filter parameters

A setup dialog appears when you select a filter and click the Settings button. You can also display the dialog by double clicking the filter name.



Set the parameters and click OK to have the settings reflected in the clip. Click Cancel to discard any changes to the settings.
