Clip Operations in the Bin Window

By operating on the icons in the Bin window, you can copy clips, delete clips, and play back source data on the source monitor. You can also create clips by placing Bin window clip icons on tracks.

To duplicate clips

Use one of the following methods.

• Select a clip icon, click the Copy button, click an empty area in the Bin window, and click the Paste button.
• Select a clip icon and drag it to an empty area in the Bin window while holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard.

To delete clips

Use one of the following methods.

• Select a clip icon and click the Delete button.
• Select a clip icon and click the Delete key on the keyboard.

Note

Deleting a clip does not delete the source data. The above operations only delete In and Out point information from EDIUS memory.

To play back clip source data

Use one of the following methods.

• Select a clip icon and click the Show in Player button.
• Select a clip icon and drag it to the source monitor.

To place clips on tracks

Use one of the following methods.

• Select a clip icon and click the Add to Timeline button.
• Select a clip icon and drag it to any position on a track.
