Application Settings

Allows you to set up the default settings for general behavior of EDIUS.

Recent Files

Allows you to set the number of recently used files to be shown when the [Select Channel/File] button is clicked (5 by default). Click the value and then enter a new value or turn your mouse wheel to adjust a value. You can also specify whether to show a thumbnail for the recent files list. If you show it, select the size also.

Settings

Checkmark the items on EDIUS operational behavior you wish to enable.

• Save Window Positions
  If checkmarked, EDIUS will restore the positions of windows and pallets saved when EDIUS was exited at next startup.
• Stop Playback at Frame Drop
  If checkmarked, EDIUS stops timeline playback when the timeline clip cannot be played back smoothly due to its errors. If that happens, a message will appear to report it.
• Show Tooltip
  If checkmarked, the tooltip will be shown when the mouse pointer is placed over a Effect.
• Enable Auto Save
  If checkmarked, the open project file will be automatically saved at specified intervals (3 minutes by default). When this option is enabled, specify the interval for performing auto save. Click the value and type in a new value or adjust it by turning your mouse wheel.

Project File

Shows the current folder which has been selected as the destination for saving project files and the currently open project filename.
To change the current folder, click the [...] button to open the Windows' [Browse For Folder] dialog box, and then select a folder or create one.
To change the project filename, enter a new filename to the filename box.
