****************************************************************************** About ScreenManager Pro for USB ****************************************************************************** The ScreenManager Pro for USB is the utility for controlling the monitor from the PC using the keyboard and mouse by connecting the PC and display with the USB cable. * About USB USB (Universal Serial Bus) is the universal bus standard for connecting the peripheral devices such as keyboard, mouse, printer and scanner. The maximum 127 pieces of USB devices can be connected to one PC at once. The Hot Plug function enables connecting or disconnecting the USB devices without power off the PC. * The monitor control through USB By connecting the PC with the EIZO monitor equipped with USB Hub or i-Station USB Hub, monitor can be controlled from the PC using keyboard and mouse. * System requirement for using USB OS (Operating System) supporting USB Microsoft Windows 98 (Windows 98) Microsoft Windows 2000 (Windows 2000) Computer (Graphics Board) supporting USB EIZO monitor with USB Hub or i-Station USB Hub + EIZO monitor with Maintenance Port Please contact each manufacture (computer, OS, peripheral) to find if your system supports USB. ============================================================================== 1) For using on Windows 98 ============================================================================== * For EIZO FlexScan F67/T68/FX-D7/TX-D7/E67F/E67T monitor and i-Station Setting USB (1) Download "USB Driver for Windows 98/2000" and copy the extracted files into the floppy disk and insert the disk into the floppy disk drive. (2) Connect the USB port of the monitor (or the i-Station) to the USB port of the USB compliant PC using the EIZO USB cable (MD-C93). When using the i-Station, connect the serial port of the i-Station to the maintenance port of the monitor with the EIZO maintenance port cable (MD-C94). NOTE: The EIZO monitor which does not have a maintenance port can not be used with the i-Station USB Hub. (3) "EIZO USB Hub" appears on the screen. Follow the instruction. (4) After setting up the "EIZO USB Hub", "Add New Hardware Wizard" window appears on the screen, and "USB Device" is detected. Click "Next". (5) Select "Search for the best driver for your device (recommend)" then click "Next". (6) Select the "Floppy disk drives" and click "Next". (7) "EIZO USB Monitor" appears on the screen. Follow the instruction. Installing the ScreenManager Pro for USB (1) Download "ScreenManager Pro for USB for Windows 98/2000" and copy the extracted files into the floppy disk and insert the disk into the floppy disk drive. (2) Click "Start" and select "Run...". (3) Click "Browse..." and select a floppy disk drive as a "Look in:". (4) Select "setup" from the list and click "Open". (5) Confirm "setup.exe" is selected in "Open:" and click "OK". (6) Follow the instruction and install the program. Running the ScreenManager Pro for USB (1) Click "Start" and select "Control Panels" from "Settings". (2) Double click "Display" icon in "Control Panel" and open "Display Properties". (3) Select "Settings" tag and click "Advanced...".
