README Da Capo 1.22 =================== Copyright: Dr. Francisco Mendez E-Mail: fmendez@gwdu03.gwdg.de (C) 1992-95 Da Capo is a GEM-program which lets you manage your addresses. It runs as program or accessory and it was written TOS-clean, so it needs only a TOS-compatible platform and at least 512 KB RAM (in fact, it was tested successfully from the Atari 520 ST with a monochrome SM124 and original TOS up to MagiCMac running on Apple's PowerPC with a 17" and 32K colours monitor). Da Capo supports the following features: ù intuitive user interface using actual GEM-standards (Clipboard, UNDO, Cut/Copy/Paste, non modal 3D-window dialogs, GDOS-fonts and -printing, online-help) ù shows your records as a table or mask with colour icons, each record has up to 30 fields, most of them can be labelled by the user ù supports GEMINI-AV-protocol (communication with accessories), 1st-Base pipeline (CyPress), Selectric (for opening multiple files) and ST-Guide (hypertext help system) ù very flexible import and export (1ST_ADDR.DAT can be read directly) ù lists for towns, countries... finds zip codes for towns automatically and vice versa ù autolocator in table and lists ù 3 grep-like search-functions: fulltext search, search for an entry and selection, all of them using wildcards ù finds and removes doubly defined addresses ù sorts your addresses by three fields ù reminds you of birthdays (an AUTO-folder/TTP is also included) This program is shareware. You can use and distribute it for private purposes, but you may not change any of the files included: DACAPO.APP the program/accessory DACAPO.RSC resourcefile DACAPO\DACAPO.ADR some adresses DACAPO\TOWNS.LST list with towns DACAPO\INTER.LST list with countries DACAPO\GROUPS.LST list with groups DACAPO\SALUT.LST list with salutations DACAPO\DACAPO.PRT default printer driver DACAPO\DACAPO.RPT report definition PRINTER.TOS self-extracting archive containing more printer drivers README.TXT this file AUTO\ a program which reminds you of forthcoming birthdays (runs also as TTP) The unregistered version is limited to 40 records (!).
