How Do I enter a new sound record?

STEPS:

(1) Make sure that a child has been selected in the Children's menu in the menu bar.

Do you want to enter an exisiting sound to the database or do you want to record a new sound?

Existing Sound:

(2) Press the "Record Sound" button in the sound sticker.

(3) Press the "Make Selection" button and navigate to the sound of your choice.

(4) Select the sound by pressing the "Open" button or by double-clicking on the name of the sound in the list.

(5) Select the sound resource in the list provided by double-clicking on the sound resource name or by pressing the "Open" button.

(6) Select the date for the sound by pressing the "Date" button to the left of the picture.

(7) Double-click on a date in the calendar.

(8) Enter any descriptive information you would like in the box at the bottom of the sound sticker.

(9) Press the "Create Record" button at the bottom left of the calendar.

(10) Decide if you would like for the sound to be copied or moved to your preset default folder.

You may decide to have the file copied (advisable if you are only testing the program or have ample hard disk space), or moved. Moving the file is the most space efficient choice and is most advisable under most circumstances. If you have already placed the file in your default folder and have now navigated to it, you will not be given a choice since it is naturally assumed that you want the file in the default folder as is.

(11) Your record is now entered. You may view the record by pulling down on the "Sounds" menu next to the "Sounds" button located to the right of the calendar and selecting the name of the picture, or by returing to the main calendar and double-clicking on the date in which the record appears.

(12) That's it. You're done.

Record New Sound:

(2) Press the "Record Sound" button in the sound sticker.

(3) Press the "Record" button to record a sound.

(4) Save the sound when you are satisfied with the finished product.

(5) That's it. You're done.

NOTE: The sound will be automatically saved in your preset default sounds folder.
