Mixman Demo v 2.10 Tips file Okay, you've mastered the basics of Mixman and you're ready for the next level. Here are some tips and tricks that will help the advanced Mixman user. It is assumed that you have a working knowledge of Mixman and all the basic commands. Mix Screen ---------- To master Mixman you'll need to learn a few more keys and change your hand position. Right hand: Control the right turntable with the eight keys around 5 on the numberpad Break with the "-" minus key on the numeric keypad (usually middle finger) FX with the "*" or "0" key on the numeric keypad (usually index finger for "*" or thumb for "0") Lock with the "+" key on the numeric keypad (usually middle finger) Enter = Play Left hand: Control the left turntable with the letters around the "d" key Break with the "Ctrl" minus key on the numeric keypad (little finger) FX with the "Tab" key on the numeric keypad ring finger) Lock with the "Spacebar" key on the numeric keypad (Thumb) Esc = Stop Esc * - Tab W E R 7 8 9 + \ | / \ | / S- -F 4- -6 / | \ / | \ X C V 1 2 3 0 Ctrl SPACEBAR Enter Tip: Try Locking a few tracks down, then Break while soloing one track. Then, add the snare fill to take you to the next downbeat, then let go of Break. Tip: Try using the FX key to tap out rhythm parts. Trick: Try an FX value of -5, make the tempo slower.
