Introduction The CTFax is a network fax service system for Windows NT and Windows 95. The system supports concurrent sending and receiving of multiple fax documents utilizing one or more fax modems attached to the CTFax Server. CTFax client can send a fax from any windows application by printing document to CTFax Printer. Note that CTFax Client does not need modem of any kind at their site. Using provided CTFax Manager application, admininstrators control and configure the CTFax system for users on the system. The same application, CTFax Manager is used by users to view their personal folders, received and sent faxes, history jornals and address books. Note that CTFax Server runs only on Microsoft Windows NT. 2. Unresolved Issues - Class 1 fax modems are not supported. - Windows NT 3.51 support is not tested. 3. Known bugs 3.1 Windows 95 Installation fails on installing CTFax Printer twice. The Windows 95 Install fails with Error Message: Copying CTFAXMON.DLL, if CTFax installation is attempted twice, even after user deletes the CTFax Printer from Printer Control Panel. The Windows Spooler exits, and this prevents install from continuing. Solution: Reboot the Windows 95 and try again. 3.2 Uninstall CTFax can eventualy rise an exception message. The CTFax Uninstall sometimes fails with system message dialog related to internal CTFAXSET error. Solution: You can safely ignore this message.
