Note that changing this setting will not apply to folders that are presently open (including the desktop). Open another folder to see the difference.

Also note that the folder title might be different from the last part of the "full path" display when the WPS has stored a different title in the folder's Extended Attributes (EAs). This happens in two cases:

  1. You are opening a folder on a FAT drive, whose filename has more than 8+3 characters. The WPS allows you to assign long filenames to files on FAT drives, but only the short name will actually be stored in the filesystem. Example: The folder title is LongFolderTitle, but the path will display C:\LONGFOLD only.
  2. You are opening a folder whose title contains characters that cannot be stored in the filesystem. Depending on your filesystem (FAT or HPFS), these characters might include: \ / : * ? " < > | , + = [ ] ; On FAT drives, spaces are not allowed either.

    Example: Your folder has a title of OS/2 Files, but the real name is OS!2 Files.
