XFolder is capable of adding new items to the context menus of all your folders
at once. You have just encountered one of the new menu items.
If you still have
the default menu configuration which was set up by the XFolder installation program,
the following new menu items are available:
- The "Command lines" submenu contains items for opening command line sessions. If you
select one of the items in this submenu, a command line session will be opened with
the directory of the folder already changed to.
- The "Create another" submenu contains items for creating new objects in the
folder whose context menu you have selected.
- The "Quick Settings" submenu contains items with which you can
quickly set certain folder properties without having to open its settings notebook.
Among others, you will find items for setting the default folder view in here.
- The "XFolder" submenu contains items for opening the XFolder Online Reference
and the XFolder Configuration Folder.
Moreover, here you will find shortcuts to the new "Workplace Shell" object,
which contains the XFolder Global Settings, and the new "OS/2 Kernel" object also.
- The "Treesize" menu item will start the external
TREESIZE.EXE
program which now (V0.81) comes with XFolder. This will calculate the total disk
space used by this folder and its subfolders.
- The "Netscape" menu item will start Netscape, having it display
the directory of the folder whose context menu you have selected. This item was only set up
by the installation program if
Netscape was found in the PATH on your system.
If you wish to change the default configuration with the use of the XFolder Configuration
Folder, for example in order to
remove some of the default items or add new ones which suit your needs,
you can alter the contents of the XFolder Configuration Folder.
Please see the "Configuration" chapter in the
XFolder Online Reference for a detailed explanation of how to configure context menu
items.
