Please note:
This add-on program uses IMPOS' integrated REXX interface. Unfortunately, some 
important settings are not available via REXX calls. Therefore, the program
reads and writes directly to the SCANNER section of OS2.INI, where IMPOS
keeps these settings. Furthermore, the OS2.INI entries of IMPOS are 
undocumented, and although I have been in contact with COMPART, the company
which developed IMPOS/2, they have not provided me with information about the 
INI entries and their meaning. Therefore, this program should be considered a 
hack, and you should be aware that it could damage your system. Although this 
has never happened here, it is theroetically possible that this program may 
destroy your OS2.INI and render your system inoperable. 

I cannot completely rule out the possibility that this program allows you to 
set scanning options which might damage your scanner. 

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD BACKUP COPY OF OS2.INI AND THAT YOU KNOW
HOW TO RESTORE OS2.INI BEFORE USING THIS PROGRAM.
