The past month has been rather quiet in regards to OS/2 in Scandinavia, but IBM has finally released FixPak 38 for the Swedish Warp 3 ( ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/ps/products/os2/fixes/v3.0warp/swedish/), whereas there is still no never FixPak for the Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish Warp 4 versions, than number 6.

More exciting is the continuing rumors that there may be a Warp 5 client (whatever its name may be) after all, marketed by either IBM or StarDock. This would remove the feeling amongst many avid private OS/2 users, that they have been abandoned by IBM. I fear that the not so avid OS/2 users have either already switched to other operating systems, or are seriously considering to do so.

I, for one, would welcome a new client very much. Hopefully there is some truth in those rumours; let's see what the next month brings of more substantial information, and in particular an offcial standpoint from IBM.

Please do not hesitate to send me any news related to OS/2 from around the Scandinavian area.
