VOTE.EXE is an OS/2 program that helps you vote on items in the OS/2 wish list compiled by Evan Champion . You need to get a copy of the wish list on your PC so that VOTE can process it. You can get the wish list via anonymous ftp from synapse.org (192.197.166.1) in pub/wishlist. Start the program either by entering VOTE wishlistfilename at the OS/2 command prompt or by dragging the icon for the wishlist file onto the icon for VOTE.EXE. Vote on an item by clicking on the labeled buttons. When you quit, the program saves your votes in WISHLIST.VOT. Use e-mail to send WISHLIST.VOT to Evan so that he can compile the results. The program is written in Watcom VX-Rexx (version 1.01 patch level B) so you need VROBJ.DLL either in the same directory as VOTE.EXE or in a directory on the LIBPATH. It hasn't been tested with HPFS long filenames. BUGS Please send bug reports to Rodger Bagnall or Compuserve 72640,1565. USING VOTE Change the font size if the wishes are difficult to read. Vote on an item by clicking on the labeled buttons. Click the YES! button when you strongly agree with a wish. You are only allowed ten such votes. Otherwise you can vote freely on any wish. When you quit, the program saves your votes in WISHLIST.VOT. Use e-mail to send WISHLIST.VOT to Evan Champion so that he can compile the results.
