Thank you for selecting Conversion Assistant For more information on using Conversion Assistant, refer to General Help. ═══ General Help ═══ General Conversion Assistant Help Intuitive click-and-select interface is utilized for quick and easy access to all information without the need for searching through long lists. Simply select your physical quantity, select dimensional formulae to go to and from, select units for each dimension, and enter value to be converted. Results are shown dynamically as you change either the value, individual unit, dimension, or quantity. Previously chosen values are stored for duration of session to allow for quick access to repeatedly used combinations. ═══ 2. About Menu Item ═══ Select About on the System menu to display copyright information about Conversion Assistant. ═══ 3. Copy ═══ Press the Copy Button to copy the result to the Clipboard. You can insert the text you copied to any application which uses the Clipboard using Paste. ═══ 4. Paste ═══ Press the Paste Button to insert contents currently stored in the Clipboard into the From display. ═══ 5. Clipboard ═══ The Clipboard holds the text that you Cut or Copy from an application. The Clipboard can only hold one block of text at a time. When you cut or copy text, any text that is already in the Clipboard is replaced with the new information. To use the text stored in the clipboard, you utilize the Paste functions. The text contained in the clipboard is accessible by any applications which use the clipboard functions and not just the current application. Paste is generally used for this purpose, however refer to the specific application for more information. This feature of the clipboard is very useful for calculating using Conversion Assistant and inserting the results into other applications such as spreadsheets and word processors. The reverse is also possible, you may have a number which you would like to convert. In this case you would cut or copy the number from the application, and paste it into Conversion Assistant.
