R00 v0.9 Notes This'll be quick. To get help on using the program just run it and press Alt-H. To know about the parameters run with the -H parameter. You need an index file like the one from ftp-os2.cdrom.com to be able to use R00. I haven't tried other index files, but I suppose *some* will use the same format. I might support other formats later. Currently, R00 doesn't do anything about display modes, so if you like to use higher resolution text modes you'll have to switch to 80x25 before running R00 and then back to 123x45 or whatever. I'll fix it as soon as I get through the OS/2 API listing. R00 is written in Borland Pascal patched to generate OS/2 executables. Because of the assumptions made in the run-time library, filenames are restricted to the 8.3 format we know and love. Long directory names are no problem, though, so it's not altogether unusable. I'll fix this also, if there is any interest. And now for the real bug. If you modify the file "files.get" where the selections are stored with a text editor that doesn't add a ^Z to the end of the file, R00 will fail to append to it. This wouldn't be much of a problem if the OS/2 System Editor weren't one of these editors! I'm still working on this stuff, so look for a 1.0 version soon ;-) That about covers it for now.
