This is the README for the IBM UIC. These DLL files are necessary for OS/2 PM applications that have been compiled to use the IBM User Interface Class libraries. For most experienced OS/2 shareware gurus, this is equivalent (I think?) to the EMX.DLL which is often needed for software compiled using the GNU compiler. To make these files available to applications needing them, you need to do one (or both) of the following: (1) add the directory name where these files are stored to your LIBPATH statement in your OS/2 CONFIG.SYS file, (2) put these files in the same directory as the application(s) that needs them, and run the programme from that exact directory. The 3 files I have placed in this archive are the full, unmodified version, as provided by IBM, for applications that require them. Have fun! Stephane Charette root@cyniska.ubishops.ca
