Docking occurs when the ThinkPad is connected to the docking station. 

There are three ways to dock the ThinkPad: 

 1. Insert it into the docking station with the power on. 

 2. Double-click the Pass Thru icon. 

 3. While the ThinkPad is in suspend mode, insert it into the docking station 
    and then resume operation.
