TABLE OF CONTENTS ----------------- This document contains the following sections: -System requirements -Installation and configuration instructions -User guide -Getting help -Reporting problems SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------- - x86-based personal computer (386 minimum; 486, Pentium, or Pentium Pro recommended) - a VGA display (65536 colors or higher provides better results - OS/2 version 3.0 or OS/2 Version 4.0 - multimedia for OS/2 installed - FM radio card - 1 MB application RAM available to aTuner/2 - 8 MB RAM for system - 500kb hard-disk space INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION INSTRUCTIONS ------------------------------------------- The following sections describe how to install and configure aTuner/2. 1. Type UNZIP ATUNER.ZIP to unpack the files for installing aTuner/2. 2. Type INSTALL to start the installation. 3. Follow the online instructions. USER GUIDE ---------- 1. Tuning to a radio station. There are two methods for tuning the radio software to a radio station. - Auto scan tuning. Click at the "Scan right" or "Scan left" button to activate the automatic station search. The auto scan function will stop when a radio station is detected. - Manual tuning. Click at the "Tune" or "Fine tune" buttons to adjust the frequency level to the desired level. The "Tune" button will increase/decrease the frequency at an interval of 100kHz. The "Fine tune" button will increase/decrease the frequency at an interval of 12.5kHz. 2. Controlling The Volume. Click at the "+/- Volume" buttons to change the volume. 3. Storing the Stations. aTuner/2 allows you to store unlimited different frequency settings into the Station Preset Buttons. To store a frequency setting (radio station): - Adjust to the desired frequency using the "Scan" and/or "Tune" buttons. - Click at the "Store" button. - Select one of the Station Preset buttons to store the frequency setting. 4. Retrieving the stations. After storing your favorite frequency settings in the Station Preset buttons, you can retrieve them directly. Select any one of the Station Preset buttons to retrieve the frequency setting. 5. Mute/Unmute the FMradio. Click at the "M" (mute) button to mute/unmute radio. 6. Minimize the radio program. Click "Minimize" button to minimize the program. 7. How to move aTuner/2. Press right mouse button, drag program to the new location, release right mouse button. 8. How to select radio card. Press "Option" button. Select desired radio card and i/o port. Press "OK" button.
