Most common errors made

• The most common error is that the syntax has been incorrectly written. If you experience problems where the tree does not behave as it should, please open the JAVA console which is under OPTIONS, SHOW JAVA CONSOLE in the Netscape browser. You may find an error message here which will tell you what the problem is.

• Other common errors made:

  • A semicolon has been missed somewhere in the syntax.

  • The HTML reference is incorrect.

  • The picture name is incorrect.

Please note: It is best NOT to use Front Page for implementing Java applets as the parameter order gets easily jumbled. It is safest to use a text editor such as Wordpad or Notepad.

Known problems

• The scrollbar behaves incorrectly in some instances.

• There is no horizontal scrollbar in the tree component.

• It is only possible to have ONE row of tabs.

• For tabs not seen within the width, there are direction buttons for scrolling.
