Gorgeous Gena Lee Nolin joins the cast of "Baywatch" in the role of Neely Capshaw, the conniving beauty who last season accused Matt (David Charvet) of sexual harassment, and now to the dismay of Matt's fellow lifeguards is rejoining the team having won her case in court."Entertainment Tonight" was on hand to tape Nolin's surprise when it was announced that she was the newest member of the "Baywatch" cast. The 23-year old former model was reading with star David Hasselhoff when he held up an innertube saying "Surprise! You got the part." "I saw this innertube out of the corner of my eye, but I just kept reading my sides until someone yelled `read the tube.' I was stunned. There must have been 150 people in the room. It was so touching to have that many people take the time to make that moment so special. I just broke into tears."
Three days after landing the role, Nolin was on a plane to the Bahamas for a "Baywatch" photo shoot. "It has all happened so quickly. I still can't believe it!"
A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Nolin's family moved to Las Vegas her senior year in high school. At the recommendation of friends, she entered and won the Miss Las Vegas contest. She quickly gained the attention of several modelling agencies, winning the Ford Agency and Elite Agency regional "Look of the Year" contests and the Miss Barbizon USA national title.
After graduation, Nolin headed to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Like many aspiring actors, she paid her dues waiting tables at among others The Larry Parker Diner. She also attended Santa Monica college where she studied interior design.
In 1994, Nolin saw an ad in the paper for the "Price Is Right." At the cattle call audition, she beat out hundreds of others winning a spot as one of the game show's showcase models. "It's a great job. We work three days a week, filming two shows a day with a ten day break every two weeks. It has allowed me time to continue with my studies and auditions."
Nolin recently appeared on "The Young & The Restless," playing the part of a young model named Sandy. She can also currently be seen in a commercial for "Home Depot."
When not on the set, Nolin enjoys gardening at her home in West Los Angeles which she shares with her husband of two years, her cat "Milo," and her cocker spaniel "Clifford."
