Hobie Buchannon

Hobie is Mitch's 13-year-old son. He has a close relationship with his dad and is an accomplished junior lifeguard. With Mitch struggling two hold down to jobs, Hobie moves in with his mom, but continues to spend his weekends at the beach with his dad. Like many adolescents, Hobie is at an awkward stage in his life. He has a new steady girlfriend and is struggling with the problems of school, girls, peer pressure and growing up. Hobie has a knack for getting in trouble. He likes rollerblading, skateboarding, girls and hanging out at the beach.
