Homes for the elderly who share same interests

Why not establish nursing homes and senior residences which accept residents based on their sharing a range of interests, hobbies, past careers and backgrounds? For example, there could be a Gardeners' Home, an Artists' Home, a Readers' Home, an Animal Lovers' Home. The residents of these themed homes might find life a lot more worth continuing, and more conducive to personal growth and health in an environment of shared interests and accumulated knowledge. The staff could be selected according to their similar interests too.
