National Bed Line provides useful information, mainly to welfare organisations, on the availability of patient and residential vacancies in the private sector (residential homes, nursing homes and private hospitals nationally). The service is free of charge and 'calls are answered by experienced nurses and additional information on the Homes is available, such as fees, number of floors, lifts, etc.'
