Paying party guests

Nicholas Saunders

A type of party common in Denmark but not yet common in the UK is one in which the host gets the guests to pay. The guests are, of course, told when invited, and even approximately how much it will cost. The advantage is that the most elaborate feast with live music, or a whole weekend in the country, is affordable by everyone.
