Using your fax to stop torture
Amnesty International are recruiting people with fax or telex machines to join their urgent action network. Torture of political prisoners tends to happen in the early days of their imprisonment so fast action is essential. By joining the network you agree to take on the number of cases per year that you specify, and to spend up to an hour or so per case sending off a fax about it to the relevant authorities.
