Modern life has become so noisy that we are losing our hearing due to the constant bombardment of high decibel sounds. As I write, I am forced to listen to road construction outside my window.
Even our young children are showing signs of hearing loss, some in infancy, due to the loudness of available toys and stereo headphones.
Initially, I would establish parks and nature areas where cars and motorcycles, portable radios, lawn mowers, airplanes, etc are prohibited.
This concept could be expanded to encompass living areas, where noise levels were strictly limited by consensus of the population.
My dream is of a once again noise-free world.
