Buy an acre of tropical forest

Programme for Belize is the coordinator of a coalition of environmental organisations and people taking personal action to end global warming. 110,000 acres of tropical forest in Belize are for 'sale' at L25 per acre, to be known as the Rio Bravo Conservation Area. (Individuals are given certificates of appreciation in return.) An educational programme will help local people to maintain the forest and improve their own standard of living from it.
