Just caught a glimse yesterday of a video with Vanessa-Mae who plays electrical violin. A performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Absolutely exhilarating. Hadn't heard about her at all before. She's apparently a big hit at rock concerts and other unusual settings across Europe. A very lively, energetic performance of classical themes. Hard to describe really, but it is the first new music I've been excited about for a long time. And she's only 17.
