How do I refill the ink well?

Look around in the book room for something else that might contain ink.

The numbers on the arithmetic book are barely dry.  You can probably use
them.

You might be able to blow them off the page.

Hint 4 of 15:

By sneezing on them.

Hint 5 of 15:

Have Fulbert go up and play in the dust just above the book.  Then you can
sniff the clouds of dust, and you'll sneeze off the numbers.

Hint 6 of 15:

Just pick each of them up from around the room.  But you'll still be short a
few numbers.

Hint 7 of 15:

You have to make your own number 8.

Hint 8 of 15:

An 8 is just two circles.  Find something that can draw circles.

Hint 9 of 15:

There is a compass in the sculpture book.  Use it on the sheet of paper to
get your 8.

Hint 10 of 15:

And you need to get the 9 back from the spider.
