How do I get the lover?

You'll have to make the lover yourself.

Hint 2 of 8:

Out of pieces of wood.

Hint 3 of 8:

There's some wood in the book room.  You just need to cut it up in to
appropriately sized pieces.

Hint 4 of 8:

Use the axe on the wood ruler to get your wood blocks.

Hint 5 of 8:

You also need something to draw a pattern onto the wood block.

Hint 6 of 8:

Get the chalk out of the drawing book and take both items back into the chess
room.

Hint 7 of 8:

Use the chalk on the block of wood (right hand) and draw the pattern to
carve.
