How can I wake the demon?

else that will turn them for you.

Use it on the lower mirror of time to turn it into a baby chick.

Hint 7 of 10:

You want to put the chick into both the small and large holes.  (You can use
the passage to hand items back and forth between you and your reflection.)

So make sure that the chick is the appropriate size.
